The stylish treehouse comes complete with an outdoor bathtub and Instagram-worthy interiors
Looking for a romantic getaway with a difference? Then look no further than The Hudnalls Hideout, a new luxury treehouse designed in partnership with MADE.com.
Located amongst two acres of private woodland in the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Gloucestershire, this chic and unique spot is ideal for an intimate getaway for two.
The unique space – the UK’s first A-frame treehouse – offers guests almost 40 square metres of open plan living space. It is suspended four metres above the ground, offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
The adults-only stay is laid out over two levels, joined by a sweeping staircase fashioned around a cedar tree trunk. The Scandi-style living space comes complete with a generous living area, well-equipped kitchen, bedroom with kingsize bed and raised deck.
Inside, interiors designed in partnership with MADE.com make for a stylish finish. The hideout features some of the design-focused company’s most popular pieces, such as the revival-inspired green velvet Imani sofa and the smoked glass Stanley coffee table.
Owners Ade and Sarah Orchard moved to the Wye Valley in 2017 with a dream of creating a North American style ‘cabin in the woods’ for the ultimate glamping experience.
They’ve certainly delivered on that front. Guests can soak under the stars in the treehouse’s outdoor copper bathtub, which is big enough for two. Charming al fresco cooking options cater to those with an adventurous appetite, including an outdoor fire-pit for baking potatoes and a wood-fired pizza oven.
Meanwhile, luxury hampers from local suppliers – such as the Forest Deli in nearby Coleford – can be ordered on-site. The area also boasts several first-rate restaurants, including Michelin-starred The Whitebrook.
There’s plenty to keep visitors entertained during their stay, too. Outdoor types can indulge in a spot of forest bathing or brave the elements with some wild swimming. There’s also plenty of walking routes and bike trails to try, plus kayaking on the river Wye.
Private massage therapists can also be booked direct to the treehouse’s door to soothe tired limbs after all that activity.
The Hudnalls Hideout is open for bookings from 14th February 2020. Prices start at £225 per night (minimum two night stay) and include a hamper of local produce on arrival.
