Full details of Europe’s first Legoland Water Park revealed

Take a first look at the brand new Legoland Water Park

Lego-loving families will be excited to learn that Europe’s first Legoland Water Park is set to open this summer.

Gardaland Resort in Italy was last year revealed as the home of the new opening, adding to the list of Legoland water parks around the world. They include parks in Florida, Dubai and Malaysia.

Now, new details have emerged about the new addition, including the all-important opening date: 28th May 2020.

It will also be the first of the brand’s water parks to be located inside a theme park that’s not Lego branded. Located on the banks of beautiful Lake Garda, Gardaland is already a popular amusement park in its own right.

The new water park is aimed at families with children aged two to 12, and a new video released to promote the opening gives a glimpse of what to expect. Exciting attractions include slides, rides and a swimming pool – and, of course, plenty of opportunities for kids to get creative.

Much like other Legoland water parks around the world, a winding river flows through the entire park. Here you can build and customise your own Lego raft and climb aboard for a relaxing ride.

The Beach Party area contains plenty of fun features, including colourful slides and water cannons. Just beware being drenched by the giant bucket!

The Jungle Adventure slides deliver further thrills, with a variety of different flumes to ride.

Elsewhere, Miniland pays homage to the park’s Italian location. Here you’ll find miniature-sized Lego versions of some of the country’s most famous attractions, such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

There’s also a generously sized swimming pool with sun loungers and cabanas for when you want to relax.

If that sparks children’s imagination, they can get creative in the Lego Creation Island area. Here, DULPO bricks and large soft Lego blocks will be available for kids to busy themselves building.

Away from the water park, there’s plenty to discover at Gardaland Resort too. Italy’s largest theme park features over 40 thrilling rides, as well as a Sea Life aquarium and Peppa Pig Land. There’s also three themed on-site hotels, if you want to stay in the heart of the action.

The Legoland Water Park at Gardaland Resort, Italy opens on 28th May 2020. Admission is via a combined ticket (available soon), giving access to both Gardaland Resort and Legoland Water Park.
